Q: How do I e-mail an image to you from a PC?

A: There are several steps to follow, however, they are simple steps.

From a PC

• While browsing the catalog, you have the ability to right-click the mouse. That would be the furthest button on the right side of the mouse. You will need to move the mouse over the image you wish to send to us, then right-click. A small menu will appear.
• Choose "Save Image as" or "Save Picture as" and a window will open that allows you to choose a location where you want to store the file.
• After you have saved the images to a location on your computer, you will want to open your Mail program. Due to the number of different mail programs, we need to limit the scope of this step to Outlook and Outlook Express, both from Microsoft [tm].
• With your mail program open, you'll want to compose a new letter and send it to [email address], but before you click send, you'll want to find the icon near the top of the screen that looks like a paperclip. This is the 'attachment' option.
• Click the attachment icon and a window will appear that allows you to choose one or more files you wish to send along with your email to us at Carved Stone International. Locate those images you saved in Step 2, and highlight them, then choose "insert". Should you only attach one and not several, it is easy to just click on the attachment icon again and choose the rest of the images, each will be dropped automatically into the email.
• Repeat all steps with as many items you wish to have commissioned, or should you change your mind, contact us directly and send the email with the correct images.
• Call us to make sure the order has been received if you do not hear from us within 48 hours.

From a Mac

There are several steps to follow, however, they are simple steps.

• You should create a directory or folder to place your image or images into. You do this by going to the finder under the menu, FILE - "New Folder". This creates a folder on your desktop. Click once on the text line and name your folder with something easily recognized.
• With Macs drag and drop technology the rest is quite simple. While browsing through the CD and you see a photo of interest just hold down the mouse over the picture and drag to the folder you have created on your desktop. Just repeat the steps to add additional pictures to the folder or directory.
• You will now want to open your Mail program. Due to the number of different mail programs, we need to limit the scope of this step to Outlook and Outlook Express, both from Microsoft [tm].
• With your mail program open, you'll want to compose a new letter and send it to [email address], but before you click send, you'll want to find the icon near the top of the screen that looks like a paperclip. This is the 'attachment' option.
